Delete your MySOS account
You can permanently delete your MySOS account and personal data at any time.
In the mobile android or ios app (fastest)
- Open MySOS and sign in
- Go to Settings (gear icon, top right)
- Scroll down and tap Delete account
- Tick the confirmation box and tap Delete my account
Your account is deleted immediately.
Can't access the app?
Email support@mysos.co.za from the mobile number/email on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll verify your identity and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your profile — name, email and mobile number
- Your emergency contacts and service providers
- Your devices, push registrations and saved locations
- Any linked panic button
- Any active MySOS Premium subscription is first cancelled with our payment provider (PayFast) so you are not billed again
What we keep
Records of past emergencies and journeys are retained in anonymised form (with no link back to you) for safety, operational and legal reasons.
